A very simple way to reduce the amount of energy you use (and save money at the same time!) is to change your light bulbs to more energy efficient options.
The Victorian Energy Upgrades program provides a number of services to businesses including lighting. This offer is due to end on 1 February 2023 so if you haven’t already, don’t hesitate any longer in taking up the offer to have your light bulbs replaced for free.
That’s right, no charge, just savings! Best to get in early to take advantage and avoid the last minute rush on the offer.
Here is the link to the VEU program for businesses if you’d like to find out more.
There are many providers around, below are two that our friends at Green Moves recommend (more on the partnership with Village Zero coming soon).
Homelab – Are a small, Melbourne-based family business who can supply and install free LED and commercial light upgrades (they use A grade electricians and do all the paperwork for you). They can also upgrade the pre-rinse spray valves for commercial kitchens.
Eco Vantage – can also supply LED lighting and I understand do all the relevant work as well. They are a larger organisation and cover several states.
The full list of providers on the VEU website for lighting can be found here.
It’s an offer to good to refuse!
