Roadmap to the reopening of the economy
The State Government has announced its Roadmap to the reopening of the economy: Victoria’s Roadmap: Delivering the National Plan – https://www.coronavirus.vic.gov.au/victorias-roadmap
Key dates are:
- National Plan Phase A – 26 September 2021 (80% of 16+ single dose)
- National Plan Phase B – 26 October 2021 (70% of 16+ fully vaccinated)
- National Plan Phase C – 5 November 2021 (80% of 16+ fully vaccinated)
- National Plan Phase D – 19 November 2021 (80% of 12+ fully vaccinated).
Cleaning, signage, record-keeping and other COVID-Safe requirements for work premises continue to apply for all venues and facilities.
Density Quotients (DQ) apply to all venues and spaces that are accessible to the public (inside and outside).
All proposed easing from threshold of 80% of 16+ fully vaccinated (indicatively 5 November 2021) are dependent on the ability of venues and employers to confirm vaccination status of patrons and employees.
The State Government will now move to drafting legislation and regulations to put in place required protections for employers and businesses. At this stage it would appear that there will be significant restrictions on unvaccinated individuals.
